This collection brings back memories. I grew up from the age of 11 through 24 attending the Universal Temple Church of God of Brooklyn, New York where Bishop Landon E. Penn, D.D. was the pastor and founder. He was a preaching machine and full of humor. This collection is from the Annual Holy Convocation services where all of the Universal Churches gathered for one week of glorious singing and preaching. What a time! The year 2010 which was the 35th Annual Holy Convocation of the Universal Temple Churches was particularly special because this was the last year Bishop Penn was with us before his transition. He preached a beautiful sermon. I’m glad I was able to capture it on camera. To see First Lady Penn, praising the Lord is wonderful for she too has also since transitioned. For me, working with the choir, teaching songs and playing instruments with the musicians (which include my brothers on the horns) is always good memories. One of the talented choir directors, Juanzel Rennick has also since transitioned. That’s why we must work while it is day. Don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today. Thank God for their tireless work to spread the gospel through word and song. Hoping you will too be inspired.
