Faith Cancels Out Fear

written on January 30, 2016

Thoughts from my dad’s sermon last night at the Lighthouse Church. Faith cancels out fear. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. This fight is not about us against satan. It is God against satan. We are just the pawns used. If you profess Christ, don’t shame God’s name by acting weak, sinning. Job didn’t make God look bad. Neither did Daniel nor the Hebrew boys, etc. They stood up for their faith. I need to stand up. Satan is trying to prove that he can snatch God’s people from him. We were created to serve God, but sin entered in and separated us from God. God sent his Son Jesus to redeem us because there had to be a kinsmen redeemer. Jesus came as flesh through the line of David to be our kinsmen to redeem us. The battle has already been fought and the victory won. Satan is trying to bluff and fool us into thinking that we can’t serve God. I say NO. Join the winning team by accepting Christ into your life, and let God change you. Hallelujah. Like a quilt made of many pieces from damaged clothes, we take the best pieces and put them together to make a beautiful quilt. No matter who you are or what family tree you come from, God will uproot us and reroot us. God can change your life. When God changes you, you’re just as good as everyone else saved. Thank you, Jesus. God puts all the broken pieces together and creates a beautiful quilt. Hallelujah!
