Good Morning, Jesus
written on Wednesday, April 23, 2014
I woke up this morning and said “Good Morning Jesus.” I thank you for life to see another day. God’s omnipresence is so awesome to me because of the fact that he is everywhere at the same time and yet I can feel his presence so close in my heart and around me like he’s sitting right there with me in the room. And then I began to think, just as welcome as he was this morning when I said Good morning Jesus…so glad to be alive…
- Is he just as welcome once my day gets going and situations arise that may try to cause me to go astray from my Christian walk?
- If Jesus was physically walking with me all day, would I be able to conduct myself as usual or would Jesus be ashamed to know me?
- Am I relying on Jesus for my strength or do I tell Jesus to wait for me at certain intersections along the road of life while I handle situations my way without him and then I’d be back for him?
Jesus is watching every move we make, every word we speak and every thought we think. The song lyrics “God’s got a television and sees all over the land, turning his station on every nation and unrighteous man. God knows where you be each day. He knows what you do and he knows what you say. So you better be careful there’s no time to play, God’s got a television” are true. Be conscious of what we say and do each step of our life. Make sure we’re following the principles of the bible unashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8.
Just as close as Jesus felt this morning, I must remember that as I walk throughout the day, he’s still right there beside me. Just as I pray for material blessings I must pray for spiritual blessings, like strength to live right putting on the whole armor of God daily. Let us talk with Jesus like he’s our friend because he is. Make sure our heart is in the right place, that our motives are right and that we want to live holy and let Jesus lead us all the way. There’s power in the name of Jesus. Call on Jesus when the road gets rough and the going gets tough and the hills are hard to climb. Just like the song lyrics “I want Jesus to walk with me, while I’m on this tedious journey, I want Jesus to walk with me.” Let’s take Jesus with us everywhere we go.
Good morning Jesus. Good afternoon Jesus. Good evening Jesus.
