“Have You Been Filled with Power to Serve?”

Thoughts: You cannot serve the Lord without power. You can keep going back to God with the “sorry, please forgive me” speech over and over for the same mistakes over and over. You can have all of the good intentions, but although we were made in God’s image, man’s nature, since the fall of Adam, is to sin. We must receive the power of the Holy Ghost in order to do God’s will. Then we can be unashamed witnesses spreading the Gospel to all. There’s a song that says, “Have you been filled with the Spirit? Are you a witness for the Lord? Have you received the Holy Ghost? Oh since you believed.” The key sentence is since you believed. It is not enough to confess and pledge allegiance to serve the Lord. You must then get equipped to do it. The bible says to Put on the whole armor of God so that you can withstand the wiles of the devil. Pray “Lord fill my cup till it overflow.” I want to be ready when you come back for your church. I want to be in the number when the saints go marching in.
