There is Power in the Name of Jesus

Like the lyrics of the song says, There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain. Just like a math formula…1+1 always equals 2 and 4+4 always equals 8…the name of Jesus is always powerful. We don’t have to be lost, perplexed or bound. The powerful name of Jesus by faith can loose the shackles that hold us. The shackle can be whatever is preventing you from doing the will of God…following the principles of the bible…being a Christian. Jesus can save us.

I began to lift up the name of Jesus. When I lift Jesus up, I automatically humble myself. The more I lift, the more I am humbled. Naturally so, the higher we physically lift an object up above us, the lower we become. When we lift Jesus up spiritually, we lift him above ourselves, our thoughts or what we think is right. We esteem him higher than ourselves. We acknowledge his deity. I am a sinner saved by grace.

Jesus is my refuge. I call on Jesus because there is power in his name. Power to break the chains of sin. Don’t ponder…call him. Call on the name of Jesus. Get serious. These are serious times. Try Jesus. There’s a song that says “when you’ve tried everything, and everything has failed, try Jesus.” Well, you don’t have to wait until you’ve tried everything else first. Try Jesus now. Hebrews 3:15 says “Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.” Call Jesus for everything. He’ll give you peace that surpasses all understanding. Money can’t buy what power in the name of Jesus can produce.
